Senior appointment announced by Walker Logistics
Walker Logistics Ltd has announced the appointment of Simon Lapham as Head of Operations. In this new role, Simon will be responsible for overseeing all administrative and operational processes at Walker’s 200,000 sq ft multi user storage facility in Berkshire.Having started his career within Sainsburys’ logistics and distribution network, Simon Lapham joins Walker from bathroom accessories specialist, Croydex, where he held a senior supply chain management position. He will report directly to Walker’s board and his appointment is part of Walker’s ongoing growth strategy.Bob Montague, Walker Logistics’ managing director, commented: “We are delighted to have strengthened our executive leadership team with someone with Simon’s background, experience and expertise.“Walker Logistics continues to develop and Simon has an important role to play as we strive to enhance the levels of service and professionalism that our customers have come to expect.”Established in 1999, Walker Logistics offers a comprehensive range of bespoke logistics services to a broad range of clients from a modern facility close to Junction 14 of the M4.
