Logistics contract caters for Kavis’s growing needs .
Disposable food and catering products, packaging and utensils supplier, Kavis, has outsourced management of its UK B2C supply chain to Walker Logistics.
“Having seen growth in online sales to consumers who need disposable catering products such as plates, knives and forks, glasses etc for a party or other large social occasion, Kavis needed a third party logistics partner with the ability to fulfil orders initially to B2C customers but also larger B2B accounts in the future,” explains William Walker, sales director of Walker Logistics.
“Kavis has seen its online business grow significantly and sought a 3PL with the ability to accurately and efficiently pick, pack and dispatch varied and smaller order volumes to online clients but, importantly, also has the capacity and expertise to store and deliver full pallet loads to Kavis’s traditional customers such as large catering firms,” says William Walker.
Walker will receive incoming stock and dispatch orders throughout the UK on behalf of Kavis from its 230,000 sq. ft. multi-client warehouse facility just outside Reading.
“We are, of course, extremely pleased to be associated with Kavis who are fast growing suppliers of disposable catering products. Our team will work closely with Kavis to develop solutions that meet both their current and future supply chain needs,” added William Walker.
Established in 1999, Walker Logistics offers a comprehensive range of bespoke logistics services to a broad range of clients from a modern facility close to Junction 14 of the M4. www.walkerlogistics.com
