Bidvest International Logistics wins PMR Diamond Award for Third Consecutive Year
Bidvest International Logistics (BIL) has won the PMR Diamond Award – Outstanding and 1st Overall, following a late 2019 industry survey conducted by consultancy and research company, PMR.
BIL is one of South Africa’s largest logistics companies, owned by the services, trading and distribution powerhouse, Bidvest. This is not only the third year running that the logistics leader has won the prestigious award, it is also the seventh time in the past ten years; a feat that its competitors have yet to reach.
PMR Africa’s annual awards aim to recognise professional excellence across a variety of sectors, including freight forwarding. 150 South African exporters and importers were nominated and rated by respondents against attributes and criteria which included: Black Economic Empowerment (BEE); Relationships with agents; Predictability of deliveries; Proactive communication with agents; Problem solving; Reliability; Brand reputation; Risk management; Track and trace; and, Value for money.
The awards also highlight the values and resonance which exist in an award entrant’s corporate vision, company values, competence, integrity and its ability to empathise, which in turn creates a level of sustainable, ethical business practice.
“We’re absolutely delighted with receiving this award again, because it demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering the best value we can offer our clients,” says Maria Du Preez, Business Development Director for BIL. “It speaks to our ability to deliver their cargo in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible.”
