BCMPA MEMBERS’ OUTSOURCING SUPPORT ADDS COLOUR TO WHITE LABEL GROWTH
The BCMPA is highlighting the benefits that brands and retailers can achieve by outsourcing white label products to contract manufacturers at this year’s White Label World Expo. Nine BCMPA members will also be at the show to offer expert advice to visitors.
The exponential growth in e-commerce during the last 24 months has seen many brands and retailers, together with new-to-market entrepreneurs, seeking to expand rapidly into new, niche markets with innovative products.
The demand for an agile, timely and cost-effective approach to the launch of new lines can be satisfied by the engagement of expert third-party suppliers with the capability and experience to react quickly. They can help to bring new solutions to market without the time-consuming development and large capital investment usually involved, often by simply adapting an existing generic product with the client’s own branding.
This year’s White Label World Expo will provide the perfect opportunity for brand owners and retailers to find out more, covering everything from formulating, processing, blending, and filling, to discovering an extensive range of different packaging formats and order fulfilment options.
Emma Verkaik, Membership & Marketing Director at the BCMPA, said; “We have seen the number of BCMPA members offering white and private label services increase to almost 100, providing easy and headache-free access to new markets for clients.
“Increasingly, brands and suppliers are seeing the sense in being able to achieve cost-effective and agile speed-to-market in many sectors, in partnership with our members, providing all the skills, expertise, warehousing and logistics facilities needed to deliver the quality and scale required.”
The BCMPA – which connects brands to contract manufacturers – has seen a growth of over 50 percent in enquiries for white label services from clients in the last year alone, using the BCMPA website’s free online search facility. Interest in this area has expanded across more sectors too, from cosmetic, personal care and household to the food and nutraceutical sector.
“The last two years has changed a lot of people’s outlooks on life and actually given them inspiration to try something new. A white labelled product offers them the chance to start their own brand without much of the initial expense on product development,” added Verkaik.
“This can often help new entrants to the market gain an initial foothold while they develop their own specific range. I am sure this will continue and become more focused in the foreseeable future.”
Visitors are invited to find out more about the BCMPA by attending the White Label World Expo at ExCeL in London on March 2nd – 3rd on stand WL565. They will be exhibiting alongside members Huboo, Oxford Contract Manufacturing, Poppypac, Rain Nutrience, Redrose Manufacturing, Rocket Science Supplements, Statfold Seed Oil, VMS Solutions and Wyepak.
Verkaik concluded; “We are pleased to be able to once again support our members in telling their story to a wider audience at White Label World Expo this year, and welcome brands and retailers to come along and talk to the experts in making white and private label products a reality.”
